Sherry Hodges is an unapologetic conservative fighter and California refugee who fled the Left’s radical agenda for South Carolina’s welcoming environment. But she soon discovered that while our state’s people are conservative and trustworthy, our elected officials are not. She’s watched as our current state representative joined Democrats time and time again to fund the liberal agenda and block conservative legislation.
Unwilling to sit back and watch South Carolina turn blue, Sherry is running to protect our conservative values not only from Democrats but from the RINOs (Republicans In Name Only) who support them, too. Sherry can be trusted to fight for us.
ON THE ISSUES
Fixing Our Roads and Infrastructure
Despite a $1.6 billion state budget surplus, Anderson County’s crumbling roads, bridges, and water/sewer systems have been ignored for far too long. Sherry will fight to eliminate millions of dollars in wasteful earmarks, redirecting that money to where it needs to go— widening roads and repairing infrastructure to ensure our needs are met and our highways are safe.
Parental Rights
Parents have the fundamental right to decide their children’s education, upbringing, and health care. As a mother and grandmother, Sherry knows that when it comes to protecting our children, choosing medications, selecting education options, and instilling moral values, parents know what’s best. That’s why Sherry will fight for a Parental Bill of Rights.
Protecting Our Freedoms
Sherry will protect our God-given rights enshrined in our Constitution, including the freedom to operate our businesses as we choose, the vehicles we drive, and the right to carry and defend ourselves and those we love from harm. Unlike our current representative, Sherry will fight against the establishment’s attempts to silence conservatives and will be as conservative in office as she is on the campaign trail.
Winning the Culture War
The radical, woke Left has infiltrated our schools, poisoned our children, and is working overtime to destroy the very fabric of America. The uniparty has formed an alliance with globalists that demands the indoctrination of our students and businesses to adhere to their liberal agenda. As our state representative, Sherry won’t give them an inch. She’ll protect our children and businesses from their woke nonsense. Sherry will put a stop to dollars funding these policies aimed at destroying South Carolina’s freedoms and way of life.
Education Freedom
Sherry will make universal education freedom a top priority. She knows from personal experience that when parents have the ability to select the learning environment that best suits their child’s needs, they flourish. With increased competition in education options, students perform better and our workforce becomes stronger.
